The kids are loving music this week! They are sharing songs, dancing and playing instruments. The melody definitely tends to affect the energy in the room. 🙂
Music has been scientifically proven to have a positive effect on your Little's brain waves. You would be amazed at the responsive nature of your Little's attitude to the environmental music you play.
This weekend at home try to engage your Little with different types of music at different times of the day to see which music he or she is most receptive to. For example: night time is a good time for the classics and lullabies but try turning them on, and screens off, about a half an hour before bed and see how your little one calms with the ebbs and sways. Additionally, go for an all out dance party with your music of choice or a medley of favorites. Try tap dancing to the forties, a hoe-down to some country and maybe even some hip-hop so your Little can show off all those gymnastics moves they usually reserve for the playground. 😉
Lastly, wake them up with an upbeat song to set the tempo for the day and encourage a happy heart. Who knows, you just may learn something about your musical preference in the mean time. 😉
Happy weekend everybody!
